FROM ASPEN TO SEOUL

This summer, Arturo Berned’s work travelled from the United States to South Korea through two international art fairs presented in collaboration with Art of the World Gallery: Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair in Aspen, Colorado, and Kiaf SEOUL in Seoul.

Taking place in two important destinations within the international art calendar, the fairs brought Berned’s sculpture into contact with collectors, galleries and audiences from across the world, extending the studio’s presence across the American and Asian art markets.

INTERSECT ASPEN ART + DESIGN FAIR

The summer began in Aspen, where Art of the World Gallery presented Arturo Berned’s work at Intersect Aspen Art + Design Fair, held at the Aspen Ice Garden.

Taking place at the height of Aspen’s summer art season, Intersect Aspen brings together modern and contemporary art and design from galleries around the world in an intimate and carefully curated setting. Its location in Aspen places the fair within a particularly active cultural period for the city, attracting an international community of collectors, art professionals and visitors.

Berned’s participation with Art of the World Gallery formed part of this wider programme, presenting his sculpture within one of the United States’ distinctive summer art destinations.

KIAF SEOUL

Seoul, South Korea · 2–6 September 2026

From Aspen, the programme continued in Asia with Kiaf SEOUL.

Established in 2002, Kiaf was South Korea’s first international art fair and has become an important meeting point between the Korean and international art markets. Its significance has grown alongside Seoul’s emergence as a major centre for contemporary art, bringing together leading galleries, collectors and art professionals from Korea and abroad.

The fair takes place during one of the most important moments of Seoul’s annual cultural calendar, alongside Frieze Seoul and a wider programme of exhibitions and events throughout the city. Within this international context, Berned’s participation offered a further opportunity to introduce his sculptural practice to audiences in Asia and reinforce an ongoing dialogue between his work and different architectural, cultural and geographical settings.
