¨Large-scale sculptures – Pozuelo Palace of Congress¨

The City Council of Pozuelo de Alarcón announced Studio Martin Caballero‘s proposal for the new Palace of Congress and its surrounding fairgrounds as winner, earlier this summer.

The proposal features a large Conference Centre with an area of 17,980 sqaure meters, sitting under a large golden roof that will be a benchmark for sustainability and energy saving. The building houses a large auditorium with a capicity of nearly 2,000 spectators.

The centre will be surrounded by an open space with more than 3,200 square meters, used for resting, walking and hosting outdoor events. This outdoor space is said to include two monumental scale sculptures by Arturo Berned, ´HEAD´ and ´SOLDIER´.
