White canvas
The use of the colour white takes us back to ancient times, going deep into the roots of the culture and history of Mediterranean countries.
In the collective consciousness it is a symbol of purity, honesty, precision, cleanliness…, and it takes us back to our classical ideals.
The colour white is particularly important in the world of art, a starting point for any work, a blank piece of paper, a place and a moment to pour out fears and dreams.
It is a colour that enhances shapes, shades planes, draws edges, defines shadows.
White transforms the defined faces of my sculptures into canvases on which to dream.
