REFLECTIONS IN MIAMI

Art must reflect the spirit of a place, a moment, a person, a situation… even a desire.

In this case, the two sculptures respond as much to a desire to be present as to go unnoticed: this is the aim of EMPTINESS.

A sculpture that forces the spectator to draw it in space by carefully following the narrow continuous line that shapes it, where the main character is what it is not – that is the intention, an exercise in humility that is often needed!

When you pass by the EMPTINESS you don’t notice its presence, when you become aware of it, it attracts, magnetises…, it’s curious.

The material enhances this sensation: sometimes it is the shiny planes that reflect the surroundings, sometimes it is the shaded ones, which are softly coloured. The rest? Everything passes through it.
